Undergraduate Ostentation

The University has become a place of hustle and bustle. Everyone wants to live large to impress others. Ostentation is the hallmark of a typical Nigerian University undergraduate. Walk behind the hostel halls and you will be exposed to the
same thing I'm saying right now.

  But wait, why the hustling and bustling? Everyone wants to buy a car, but nobody wants to become a manufacturer of one someday. Could it be that we all are living shallow and expect to swim? I probably don't have answers to any of these questions sincerely, but that doesn't mean i won't catch a feeling for what i think is right.

I met an old friend buying some good stuff down the hallway some time in April after scamming his parents off NGN90k. Now, the point is, even after such a dubious act, you still find such an individual trying to spend money just to look like he has money. It's a crazy world i guess. There's really no much time to debate on the happenings around us but before I leave, I would leave you with this. "Don't live life trying to impress others, rather create an Impression to impress yourself and others will follow".
